Jaw Pain

Jaw pain is a common symptom for those suffering from TMJ.

Jaw Pain

Since TMJ problems are the direct result of a bad jaw joint, pain in the joint is a very common symptom. When the upper and lower jaw are out of alignment, the muscles surrounding the jaw joint are out of place and are overused. This imbalance results in pain in the jaw. Jaw PainBy realigning the bite using neuromuscular dentistry, we are able to place the jaws in a comfortable position. This results in the surrounding muscles relaxing and being "happy". When the muscles are comfortable, the jaw pain related to the TMJ problem is alleviated.
