Jaw pain is a common symptom for those suffering from TMJ.
Since TMJ problems are the direct result of a bad jaw joint, pain in the joint is a very common symptom. When the upper and lower jaw are out of alignment, the muscles surrounding the jaw joint are out of place and are overused. This imbalance results in pain in the jaw.
